‘Isai’ is a special film for S.J. Suryah

Tamil film Isai, releasing on January 30, is a special film for its director, S.J Suryah.

The actor-director underwent training in music for the film before donning the hat of music composer. Suryah is also playing the lead along with veteran actor Sathyaraj in the tale of rivalry between two musicians. Newcomer Savithri is paired opposite Suryah.

Suryah entered the industry in Vaali, with Ajith in a dual role and a story that deviated from routine commercial stories. This story of a man obsessed with his twin brother’s lover (played by Simran) is often remembered for Ajith’s performance. Suryah’s second film, Kushi, a rom-com hit, was remade in Telegu, Kannada and Hindi. His last venture, Puli, was in Telegu.
