Dubai: Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia’s remarks on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent, comedian Samay Raina has found support from several celebrities, including rapper Badshah.
During a recent concert at Parul University in Vadodara, Gujarat, Badshah voiced his solidarity by ending his performance with the words, “Free Samay Raina,” igniting loud cheers from the audience.
A widely shared video on social media captures the moment, showing Badshah addressing the crowd: “I love you, Parul University. Thank you so much. Free Samay Raina.”
The statement resonated with fans, adding to the ongoing conversation about Raina and his show. One user who shared the clip reacted with disbelief, writing, “Ain’t no way Badshah said ‘Free Samay Raina’ at the end of the concert! LFG!!!”
Badshah, who previously appeared as a guest on India’s Got Latent, has also collaborated with Raina and rapper Raftaar on the track Baawe.
Meanwhile, rapper Raftaar, who appeared on one of the show's episodes, shared a cryptic post about society’s reaction to success and failure. Though he did not mention Raina or Allahbadia directly, his words seemed to allude to the controversy.
"People often enjoy seeing successful individuals fail," he wrote, reflecting on how many take pleasure in the downfall of public figures.
He further questioned the motivations behind such sentiments, writing, “It’s worth reflecting on why we feel this way—whether it’s about justice or simply soothing our own insecurities.”
The debate surrounding India’s Got Latent continues to spark reactions across the entertainment industry, with celebrities and fans weighing in on this hot-button issue.
