Clear your calendars, people —Panchayat Season 4 is dropping June 24, a full week earlier than expected, and it’s all thanks to the fans. That’s right, the folks at Prime Video actually listened for once.

Originally set for a July 2 release, the rural comedy-drama starring Jeetendra Kumar has been advanced by a week after a cheeky fan-voting campaign tied to the show’s election-themed plot. The makers asked viewers to vote if they wanted the season early, and fans responded with a resounding "Yes, please!" Result? Early release. Democracy wins again.

Insiders told India Today that the frenzy following the teaser trailer was too good to ignore. So the makers hit the gas and got things moving.

The trailer, now featuring the new date, will officially drop Wednesday at noon. And if you’re wondering what this season has in store, here’s the juicy bit: it’s election time in Phulera, and it’s Manju Devi vs Kranti Devi in a no-holds-barred power face-off. Meanwhile, sparks fly between Abhishek (Sachiv Ji) and Rinki—finally—and the big mystery behind last season’s shocking shooting gets unpacked.

Also returning to stir up the village drama are Ragubir Yadav, Chandan Roy, Faisal Malik, Durgesh Kumar, and Pankaj Jha.

Directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and Akshat Vijaywargiya, and produced by The Viral Fever, this season promises more sass, more suspense, and a lot more Panchayat magic
