Imran Abbas and Ayeza Khan have proved to be a hit couple on the small screen, having starred in one of last year’s most popular shows, Mohabbat Tum Se Nafrat Hai, and 2016’s Tum Kon Piya.
It’s no wonder that when the duo signed another show together it made tabloid headlines. Their new serial is reportedly titled Koi Chand Rakh Meri Shaam Par. It’s a love story that has been adapted for television by Maha Malick, from Nayab Jilani’s Urdu novel by the same name.
Jilani herself is a popular name among digest readers, chiefly women. Her earlier writing credits include Aadha Sach and Chehron Kay Aainay.
A 7th Sky Entertainment production, Koi Chand… marks a departure for Abbas, who has confessedly been attempting to break his lover boy image. His role is supposed to be an antithesis to Rana Majid’s conventional hero.
Interestingly, renowned fashion model Areeba Habib, who makes her debut with the serial, also plays a character with grey shades. It’s an important role, nonetheless, of a modern-day girl with strong views on life.
Majid is a lawyer who joined the industry three years back, but he boasts a credible body of work in theatre behind him. One of his stage musicals, Avanti, was performed in Dubai also.
Koi Chand… is helmed by award-winning director Sirajul Haq, whose last project was a short film, Moomal Rano, for Zee TV Network’s ZEEL For Unity initiative that won him many laurels at the recently held Pakistan International Film Festival also.
Koi Chand… is one promising drama serial that has a winning team attached to it.
