Actor admitted to hospital with fever and doctors say he has typhoid, co-actor says

Veteran actor Om Puri is suffering from typhoid and has been admitted to a private hospital in Lucknow. Puri, 61, who was shooting for a film ‘Ram Bhajan Zindabad’ in Rahramau village in the neighbouring Barabanki district, fell ill and was admitted to a city hospital on Saturday, his co-actor Sharad Raj.
“Puri was admitted to the hospital with fever. The doctors said that he has typhoid,” Raj said, adding that his condition is improving.
Puri will next be seen on the big screen in Prakash Jha’s ‘Chakravyuh’, Priyadarshan’s ‘Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal’ and Mira Nair’s ‘The Reluctant Fundamentalist.’
