UAE-based band Ektara go global with ‘Bewajah’

UAE-based artist Rajiv Sapru and his band Ektara are hoping to hit the big leagues with the launch of their track Bewajah, which will feature across several platforms locally and in India.

Featuring on Colors TV Middle East and MTV India platforms, the producers say the move is a bid to promote UAE-based up and coming talent internationally.

The band Ektara features Sapru as the lead vocalist and guitarist, with Bhargav Raghavan on percussions, Keith Roche on keyboards and Mahesh on the Geo Synthesizer. These artists were also the winners of MTV India’s Next Big Thing contest as a local talent hunt in the UAE.

The music video, featuring Hitesh Rajani and Shruti Rameshan, traces the story of a young couple in love. On the eve of the proposal, the woman disappears without a trace.
