Three years after it was announced in a flurry of tweets by Lady Gaga, then abruptly shelved, a demo of Partynauseous, her song with Kendrick Lamar, has leaked online.

Stereogum reports that the song was recorded for Lamar’s 2012 album good kid, mAAd city. After Partynauseous didn’t make the record’s final cut, Lady Gaga claimed on fan website Little Monsters that the record had fallen foul of musical differences between the pair.

“When I collaborate with an artist i work solely with them, not with their camps or management,” she wrote. “It’s purely organic and creative. I love Kendrick dearly as a friend, but was not willing to compromise musically to the changes his team was making to my music.” Lamar, who also collaborated with Lady Gaga on a version of his single Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe, later told MTV that the record’s non-appearance was due to “a deadline situation. We had to meet these [album] pre-orders. I was frustrated about it. My team was frustrated about it, but at the same time, we had to move forward.”

In further collaboration news, an excerpt from Can I, a Drake record, which features Beyonce’s spoken vocals and is due to appear on his forthcoming album Views from the 6, has also emerged on the internet.
