The action at the upcoming Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2022 is not limited to the racing track alone. The after-race concert line-up is equally compelling and filled with adrenaline-inducing pop idols. The access to the concerts is exclusively for Abu Dhabi Grand Prix ticket holders and these act make it the ultimate party weekend as F1 action revs up in the capital. “Ever since the inception of Yasalam After-Race Concerts, the real pioneer of live entertainment around F1 weekends, we have sought to make each edition different and create memorable experiences for race goers during the ultimate party weekend on the F1 calendar. The addition of Grammy Award-winning industry icon Usher to the opening night, alongside critically acclaimed artist Dave, and having two AAA artists for the Thursday night is something new for Yasalam, new for us and really adds value for fans. This will be a unique, memorable evening of live entertainment,” said organiser John Lickrish, CEO, Flash Entertainment, in a statement. Dave: The concert series will kick off with Grammy-award winning British rapper, songwriter, and producer Dave on November 17 at Etihad Park in Yas Island. Santan Dave’s hits include ‘Starlight’, ‘Verdansk’, and ‘Location’. His debut album ‘Psychodrama’ in 2019 put him on the proverbial map. Singing is not his sole strength. In September 2019, Dave made his acting debut in the third season of ‘Topboy’ on Netflix.

Usher: American singer and R &B icon Usher,44, will take to the stage on November 17 at Etihad Park, Yas Island. The ‘Yeah’ singer, actor, dancer, and philanthropist is one of the best-selling artists in American music history and has gathered eight Grammy Awards. His 2004 album Confessions established him as one of the bestselling musical artists of all times. Hits including ‘Yeah’, ‘Burn’, ‘My Boo’ and ‘Caught Up’ made him a force to reckon with. He’s the headline act of the evening.

Kendrick Lamar: On November 19, gear up to witness Kendrick Lamar in action. He’s a multi-Platinum, Grammy-award winning artist and co-founder of creative imprint pgLang. He has under his belt 14 Grammy wins and became the first non-classical, non-jazz musician to win a Pulitzer Prize for his 2017 album DAMN. Get ready to groove and scream to his hits including ‘Humble’, ‘Wesley’s Theory’ and ‘Die Hard’. His latest album ‘Mr Morale & The Big Stepppers’, released in May 2022, opened to rave reviews and this may be your chance to hear those new songs live on stage.

Swedish House Mafia: The legendary EDM supergroup Swedish House Mafia will belt out their hits ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ and ‘Save The World’ at the after-race concert at Etihad Park on November 19, next Friday. The trio comprising EDM stars DJs Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, is a prominent force in the pop music scene. Also watch out for their tracks from their new album ‘Paradise Again’.

Def Leppard: If the above names don’t rock your boat, there’s always Hall of Fame legends Def Leppard poised to take over the capital on November 20. The veteran UK rock band will play at Etihad Park. With such a stellar line-up, it has the making of an action-filled weekend filled with electrifying performances from top musical acts.

In the past, F1 after-race concerts have been the stuff of legends. Artists including Beyonce, The Kings of Leon, Jay-Z Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Prince, and Britney Spears have all entertained race-goers in Abu Dhabi. This year, the line-up looks equally incredible.
