Christina Aguilera has a new song out featuring Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz, dropping ahead of the release of Liberation, her first album in six years.

Accelerate is one of the 11 tracks on the record, due June 15, which skews more toward hip-hop and R&B than her previous albums have, according to a profile published Thursday in Billboard.

The tune — as well as Maria, another new song — was co-produced by Kanye West in early 2016, right before his Life of Pablo came out. She hasn’t spoken to him recently.

“Outside of, you know, his controversial aspects, I just think he’s a great artist and musicmaker and beatmaker,” Aguilera, 37, said of West, who’s been making waves lately on social media. “The artists that he chooses to pluck from different walks of life are so interesting.”

You can blame her absence from the music charts on The Voice, which kept her busy from 2011 to 2016.

Aguilera said she was “longing for freedom” when she was on the singing competition. Coming home from the set, she said, she “would just take everything off — the makeup, all of it — and would blast hip-hop, or Nirvana, [Radiohead’s] Creep, Slayer. Anything like that to get me out of that zone, that TV mode.”

Alas, the show had become something different than what she signed up for in the beginning. But she stayed there because she wanted to be home for her kids, who are now 10 and 3.

She said she’s looking forward to showing them “what Mommy really does.”

“When I’m onstage, there’s not a bigger high, when I’m in connection with my voice and my heart and my soul,” Aguilera said. “But at the end, I want to wipe it all off, get in my sweatpants, make silly noises with my kids and have someone comfort and cuddle me.”
