Dubai: Fresh off the roaring success of Thudarum, Malayalam superstar Mohanlal is showing no signs of slowing down. Taking to social media, the veteran actor officially announced his 365th lead role in a film tentatively titled L365. The announcement has generated huge excitement—not just for the milestone number, but also because Thallumaala actor Austin Das Thomas is making his directorial debut with the project.

“With immense joy, I announce my next film. Directed by Austin Das Thomas, written by Retheesh Ravi, and produced by Ashiq Usman under the banner of Ashiq Usman Productions. Grateful to be part of this exciting new chapter,” Mohanlal posted on X, along with a promo poster and a behind-the-scenes image featuring the core team.

The film is reportedly a high-energy cop action-comedy, with Mohanlal expected to play a police officer—a genre the actor has mastered over the years.

Meanwhile, the star is staying booked and busy. He’s currently working on Hridayapoorvam, a feel-good family drama directed by Sathyan Anthikad and co-starring Malavika Mohanan and Premalu breakout Sangeeth Pratap. The film is slated for a festive Onam 2025 release.

Mohanlal is also rumoured to be filming for Jailer 2, reprising his role as Mathew in the Rajinikanth-led franchise. Fans can also look forward to seeing him in special appearances in upcoming films Bha Bha Ba and MMMN (Patriot), both headlined by Mammootty.

With L365, Mohanlal not only celebrates a major personal milestone but also backs fresh talent, promising yet another entertaining chapter in his legendary career.
