Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-in celebrate second wedding anniversary after actor's landmark Dh1.58 million lawsuit win

Love, cake, and a little justice—Lee Seung-gi and Lee Da-n had a lot to celebrate this week. The couple marked their second wedding anniversary on April 7 with a celebration at home, made even more significant by a major legal win.

Da-in gave fans a glimpse of their celebration on Instagram, posting a photo of a strawberry cake topped with two candles and a “Thank You” message.

But it wasn’t just an anniversary Seung-gi had reason to smile about. Just days earlier, on April 4, the singer-actor scored a decisive legal victory in his ongoing battle with former agency Hook Entertainment. The Seoul court ordered the agency to pay him an additional 581 million KRW (around 1.58 million dirhams) in unpaid settlement fees, a case that drew widespread attention for shedding light on transparency issues in the Korean entertainment industry.

Seung-gi also used his platform to advocate for others, pushing for systemic reform. He is behind the 'Lee Seung Gi Prevention Act', which would require entertainment companies to provide artists with clear financial statements at least once a year—either in written or digital form.

His current agency echoed his sentiments, expressing hope that the court’s ruling would pave the way for change, especially for younger artists trying to understand entertainment contracts.
