If you still want more of romcom Jung Hae-in, he’s here to serve. Netflix has announced that the star and Ha-Young will star in a new romantic comedy called Lovestuck, a new series with all the possible tropes of amnesia, unexpected love and a countryside backdrop, with all its fun traditions.
Lovestuck tells the story of Go Eun-sae (Ha Young), a sharp and ambitious prosecutor who loses her memory after an accident while investigating a criminal syndicate. She wakes up in a quiet village known for its traditional yeot (Korean taffy) shops, where she encounters Jang Tae-hae (Jung Hae-in), a former gangster-turned-boxing coach who insists he’s her boyfriend. As the two navigate this unfamiliar arrangement, their love story unfolds. The series is directed by Kim Jang Han (Do You Like Brahms?, My Demon) and penned by writer Mo Ji Hye (You Raise Me Up).
Jung Hae-in, who has established himself well in the romance niche, such as Something in the Rain and Love Next Door, takes on the role of Jang Tae Ha—a promising youth boxing champion who left behind a life of crime to pursue a quieter path. His chance reunion with Eun Sae sparks a risky lie that gradually transforms into something deeper, as it always does.
Opposite him, Ha young, recently seen in The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call, portrays Go Eun Sae, a respected prosecutor who is known for her quick repartee and strong principles. So, we’re ready for her taffy-ridden journey through amnesia and love.
