Jeff Dunham to perform in Abu Dhabi in May

Dubai: American comedian Jeff Dunham will be headed to Abu Dhabi for two shows at the du Forum, on May 1 and 2 — and he’s bringing his friends.

Organisers Flash will be flying in his entire entourage: Dunham’s show involves a beloved cast of characters including Walter, Bubba J, Peanut, José Jalapeño and Achmed the Dead Terrorist.

Then again, they won’t be needing first-class seats, because they are all hand-made puppets.

Dunham’s politically incorrect comedy ventriloquism has revived the art, with Comedy Central shows including Jeff Dunham: Arguing with Myself and The Jeff Dunham Show and appearances on hit shows such as 30 Rock and The Tonight Show. A YouTube video of Achmed on the Spark Of Insanity tour has had more than four million views to date.

Abu Dhabi is the only Middle East stop on the 51-year-old Texan’s Disorderly Conduct world tour, which also includes stops in the UK and Ireland, Australia and Malaysia.
