Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and fiance Lauren Sanchez are reportedly set to tie the knot in Venice, Italy, this summer, nearly two years after their engagement in May 2023.

According to Page Six, the ceremony will take place aboard Bezos’ $500 million superyacht, Koru.

Highly anticipated wedding

Bezos, 61, and Sanchez, 55, ended their previous marriages in 2019 and 2023, respectively. Since going public with their relationship in 2019, they have become one of the most talked-about power couples.

Reports confirm that invitations have been sent out for the wedding. Journalist Dylan Byers broke the news on X, writing:
"After a nearly two-year engagement, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have sent out formal invitations for a wedding this summer in Venice, per sources familiar."

While the exact date remains undisclosed, sources suggest the wedding will take place in June off the coast of Italy. The event follows the couple’s recent high-profile appearances, including the 2025 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.

A-list guest list and lavish setting

The wedding is expected to attract some of the biggest names in tech, media, and entertainment. Their engagement party in Positano last August featured an elite guest list, including Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kris Jenner, Salma Hayek Pinault, Barbra Streisand, and Queen Rania of Jordan.

The couple initially sparked wedding speculation in late 2023, with earlier rumors suggesting a December ceremony in Colorado. However, those were dismissed as they opted for a summer celebration in Italy—where Bezos proposed and later hosted their engagement party.

Who Is Lauren Sanchez?

Lauren Sanchez, 55, was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico. A former broadcast journalist and entertainment reporter, she co-hosted Good Day LA and appeared in films such as The Longest Yard and Ted 2. She is also a licensed helicopter pilot.

In 2016, she founded Black Ops Aviation, the first female-owned aerial film company. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Bezos Earth Fund.

Sanchez has three children: Ella and Evan with ex-husband, Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell, and Nikko with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.

Ssnchez’s growing role in Bezos’ ventures

Beyond wedding preparations, Sánchez is set to join Oprah Winfrey and Katy Perry on a Blue Origin space mission this spring. The all-women crew will participate in the 11th human flight of Bezos’ New Shepard program, further solidifying her role in his ventures.

A look at their relationship

Sanchez and Bezos reportedly began dating in 2018 but kept a low profile until Bezos finalised his divorce from MacKenzie Scott in 2019. The billionaire proposed to Sanchez in 2023 while sailing through Europe on Koru. The next day, she was spotted wearing a $2.5 million diamond engagement ring.

Family and divorce settlements

Bezos and Scott, who share four children, finalised their divorce in 2019. Scott received a $38 billion settlement, pledged half to charity, and became the third-richest woman in the world.

Sanchez was previously married to Hollywood agent Patrick Whitesell, with whom she shares two children, Ella and Evan. She also has a 23-year-old son, Nikko, with former NFL player Tony Gonzalez.

With an elite guest list, a stunning Italian backdrop, and Bezos’ superyacht as the venue, their wedding is set to be one of the most glamorous events of 2025.
