Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman subtly addressed the ongoing controversy

Dubai: Is it too early to mock what’s unfolding with influencer Ranveer Allahbadia?
Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman subtly addressed the ongoing controversy during the audio launch of the Vicky Kaushal-led period drama Chhaava, out in UAE cinemas on February 14.
The celebrated composer, who has scored the music for Chhaava, was on stage alongside Kaushal on Wednesday night.
Without naming names, Rahman hinted at the fallout of Allahbadia's remarks, saying, "This past week has been all about what happens when the mouth opens."
Here's how it all played out. During the event, Kaushal—who portrays the legendary Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film—playfully asked Rahman to describe his music using just three emojis.
After pausing to think, Rahman responded with a clever retort. “You want me to keep my mouth closed,” he said, referencing the emoji. He then added with a smile, “I think this past week we’ve all seen what happens when the mouth opens,” prompting uproarious laughter from both Kaushal and the audience.
Kaushal quipped in response, “Talk about roasting,” adding another layer of humor to the moment.
Rahman’s comment comes as the latest addition to the discourse surrounding Allahbadia's controversial remarks on comedian Samay Raina's YouTube series, India's Got Latent. Many viewers labeled Allahbadia’s comments as "vulgar" and "irresponsible," sparking widespread backlash.
In light of the uproar, Raina announced on Wednesday that he had taken down all episodes of India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel, signaling a response to the mounting criticism.
Ranveer has also lost his celebrity followers like Virat Kohli, along with pop stars like B Praak cancelling their appearance in his podcast following the controversy.
