Co-stars surprise Tina Desai with gifts
The actress was in London for The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’s editing last week when the cast of the movie made the gesture ahead of her February 28 birthday
Actress Tina Desai, who has a pivotal role in forthcoming Hollywood film The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, was in for a pleasant surprise when the cast of the movie showered her with gifts.
The actress got the gifts when she went to London for the film’s editing last week.
Desai, who will celebrate her birthday February 24, feels that the gesture is special and a perfect pre-birthday celebration.
“I didn’t expect this at all. For them to remember my birthday and make me feel so special was the best feeling. The amount of love I have received in this short span is totally overwhelming. I’m lucky to have such amazing people around me,” she said in a statement.
Actress Celia Imrie gifted her a giant hand-painted card, which had a peacock on it.
Directed by John Madden, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel also features Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Richard Gere and Lillete Dubey in important roles.
