Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender on falling in love for ‘Oceans’

Actors Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender found it “easy” to fall in love.

The duo have been dating each other ever since they met two years ago on the set of their upcoming film The Light Between Oceans.

“I think we’ve made a clear statement that we keep certain things just between us. It was very easy to unite, but that’s quite personal,” Vikander told ew.com.

The film, directed by Derek Cianfrance, chronicles a couple falling for each other, and Fassbender said it wasn’t the romantic setting of the movie that brought them together.

“It wasn’t the first time in a movie either of us had played somebody who is falling in love. There is an element of separation there. If I’m playing a murderer, I don’t go out and start murdering people.”
