Time to feed your need for speed UAE, the trailer for the new Fast & Furious film is here. And it looks like the big cars and big crashes and beautiful women and music are back.

Called Furious 7, the high-octane action film, which was partly shot in Abu Dhabi, will see Vin Diesel (Dominic Toretto) and his team of drifters set out to seek revenge for the death of their friend Han, who was killed in the previous movie. Dwayne Johnson (as Luke Hobbs), Michelle Rodriguez (Letty Ortiz), Jordana Brewster (Mia Toretto), Tyrese Gibson (Roman Pearce) and Ludacris (Tej Parker) are all back in their respective roles.

Besides being filmed in the Emirates, Furious 7 is special for another reason: It is Paul Walker’s last film. The actor died in a car crash in 2013 halfway through the film’s production, leading to the postponement of its release. The script had to be reworked and scenes involving Walker’s character, Brian O’Conner, were filmed using CGI effects and his brothers as stand-ins.

Action hero Jason Statham, who made a brief appearance at the end of Fast & Furious 6, plays the bad man in Furious 7. James Wan is the new director, taking over from Justin Lin, who directed the last four films in the blockbuster franchise. Fast & Furious films have made more than $2.4 billion (Dh8.8 billion) worldwide.

Furious 7 is set to release globally in April, 2015.
