Who’s in it? Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha

The plot In the follow up to the super-hit comedy The Hangover, Phil (Cooper), Stu (Helms), Alan (Galifianakis) and Doug (Bartha) travel to Thailand for Stu’s wedding. After the unforgettable bachelor party in Las Vegas, Stu is taking no chances and has opted for a safe, subdued pre-wedding brunch. But things don’t quite work out as planned. What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas, but what happens in Bangkok is just as hilarious.

What we liked
The chaps are back and the jape ante is upped somewhat. This sequel continues from where the first flick left off and we can get with the ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ programme, simply because the guys have ‘bro‘ chemistry’ in spades. BCoop goes shirtless and gets more than a little sweaty in the Thai humidity, which is always a bonus, and don’t miss the cameo from former US Pres Bill Clinton.

What we didn’t like The characters, narrative and gimmicks are basically the same, but transported to SE Asia – so we reckon they could have switched it up a bit more. Also, it might have been fun to have let Doug join in the post-bash shenanigans this time, no?
