George Lopez, who is starring in the new comedy Saint George, exhibited less-than-saintly behaviour following a performance in a casino in Canada, according to reports.

TMZ reported that the comedian was arrested for public intoxication at Caesars Windsor in Ontario after officers found him passed out on the floor of the casino bar. He had performed at the casino just prior to his arrest.

The report said that no charges were filed against Lopez, who was released and is scheduled to perform on Friday night.

Saint George, which premieres on March 6 in the United States on FX, stars Lopez as a successful Mexican-American entrepreneur who is trying to deal with ageing and dating after a divorce from his ‘all-American’ Anglo wife.

FX executives declined to comment and representatives for the comedian could not be reached.
