Daredevil Born Again: Why fans are excited for Season 2

After the thrilling finale of Daredevil: Born Again where Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Frank Castle aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) team up, fans are eagerly anticipating Season 2 of the Marvel show. Season 2 is already in production and may drop in 2026. Here’s what we’re excited to see:

 The return of familiar faces

While it’s confirmed that lead stars like Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin) will return, rumours have been swirling that actors from the original Netflix series - like Krysten Ritter and Mike Colter - will reprise their characters in the latest iteration. Seeing Jessica Jones and Luke Cage back on screen would be a huge plus! 

New heroes

Will Season 2 introduce new heroes? Daredevil tells Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) in the finale that they “need an army” to take the city back from Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. But who will the new recruits be?

What will The Punisher do?

In a post-credits scene from Daredevil: Born Again’s Season 1 finale, Jon Bernthal’s Frank Castle aka The Punisher, launches a possibly violent escape from Kingpin’s prison. What will he get up to next? While we await that bloody spectacle, in many ways this scene is also the perfect set-up for Marvel’s Punisher special, which has been confirmed to be currently in the works.
