All you need to know about Daredevil Born Again premiering in UAE today

UAE fans of Marvel superhero Daredevil are in for a treat as the long-awaited series Daredevil Born Again premieres on Wednesday, March 5. 

 Daredevil is the alter-ego of Hell’s Kitchen lawyer Matt Murdock, who loses his sight in a chemical accident that heightens all his other senses to spectacular proportions. The popular comic book character, who first appeared in print in 1964, has been adapted for television several times in the past. Daredevil, a theatrical version starring Ben Affleck, released in 2003 to a largely tepid response.

Created by Stan Lee and Bill Everett, the inspiring superhero found a new and dedicated fanbase when a Daredevil series dropped on Netflix in 2015, running for three seasons before getting cancelled in 2018. 

Daredevil Born Again marks the first time the iconic character is returning to the screen since making appearances in the series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo, as well as Hollywood blockbuster Spider-Man: No Way Home. 

Now, you’ll obviously want the scoop on whether Daredevil Born Again, which premieres on Disney+ in the UAE, is a reboot or a continuation of the original series. 

Even though the story of Daredevil Born Again takes place a few years after the events of Netflix’s Daredevil, it is regarded as a brand new chapter. 

 “We don’t want to suggest that people need to go back and see three seasons in order to understand and follow this story. So that’s an interesting jumping off place to achieve,” actor Charlie Cox, who reprises his role as the titular protagonist in Daredevil Born Again, told TVLine. 

 Like Cox, several stars from the original Daredevil series will be back in Daredevil Born Again, whose title pays tribute to a 1986 Daredevil comic book story arc by Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli. 

 Expect some terrifying supervillain menace from Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin and, of course, a brutal brand of justice via Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle aka The Punisher. Deborah Ann Woll plays Daredevil’s love interest Karen Page and Elden Henson returns as Matt Murdock’s lawyer partner Foggy Nelson.
