The K-pop universe is ablaze, and no, it’s not because of a new comeback. This time, it’s all about BTS’s V (Kim Taehyung) and Blackpink's Rose. In a move no one saw coming, well not their fandoms at least, V gave a heartwarming shoutout to Rosé on his Instagram story by sharing her song, Stay a little longer. A sweet gesture no doubt, but it also kick-started the usual battle between ARMY's, the BTS fan-base, and the Blinks, which is the Blackpink fan-base.

V, known for his cool demeanor and a reputation for not caring about fan wars, shared a snippet of Rosé’s solo song on his Instagram story. No captions, no emojis—just music paired with the kind of aesthetic vibes only he can pull off. Naturally, this sparked a range of reactions. "Oh, as always, Tae is breaking the internet," one wrote. Others appreciated him for supporting different artistes, and given the intense rivalry between all fandoms, applauded him for going ahead, regardless. Nevertheless, some took the opportunity and turned into a heated battle, and it became the usual, BTS versus Blackpink, while a few tired spectators noted, "It's only the fans who are at war. Not the artistes." And so currently, the K-Pop timeline is filled with memes, GIFs, and well, much rage.

BTS'V is currently serving his mandatory military enlistment, and will be discharged in June. On the other hand, Rose is basking in the success of her song Apt with Bruno Mars, and also has topped the January girl group member brand reputation rankings, highlighting her influence and popularity in the industry.
