As India celebrates its 73rd Republic Day, Bollywood celebrities joined in on the the spirit of patriotism. Many took to social media to wish fans on the occasion. While Bollywood will be unable to take advantage of the Republic Day theatre release period this year, the holiday had been ringing cash registers at the box office for many years. In 2019, for instance, three films together brought in big numbers at the box office, including Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, Thackeray and Uri: The Surgical Strike. Actress Bhagyashree posted an image of herself wearing a scarf in the tricolour.
