He has been questioned by police in relation to the actress’ apparent suicide

Mumbai: The boyfriend of late Indian TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee was on Sunday hospitalised after he complained of breathing problems while he was being questioned by police for the second day in connection with her alleged suicide.
Rahul Raj Singh, who has been questioned by the police until late on Saturday at Bangurnagar police station in connection with the death of the 24-year-old TV star, was taken to Shree Sai Hospital in suburban Kandivali in western Indian state of Maharashtra after he complained of chest pain and low blood pressure.
“Rahul was admitted to ICU three hours ago,” his aide said without revealing further details.
Banerjee, who shot to fame as Anandi in hit TV series Balika Vadhu, was found dead at her home on April 1, in an apparent suicide.
Police launched a probe in the suicide case on Saturday, and are planning to reach out to friends, particularly males, of Banerjee, who in the past had disputes with the actress.
“We will further check Facebook and Twitter accounts of Rahul and Pratyusha and would also inquire with their common friends with regards to the case,” a police official said.
If there is any contradiction, Singh will be further questioned, he said.
A team of investigators on Sunday morning searched Banerjee’s house in Goregaon and took away two mobile phones. Police say they have ruled out financial dispute, and have not found anything pointing to abetment of suicide by Singh.
The actress’ parents have not made any allegations against Singh in their statement, and said that while Banerjee and her boyfriend did fight sometimes, they patched up soon thereafter.
