I want to do something that excites me, says ‘Dev D’ actress
She is known for her power-packed performances in Dev D, Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster and Paan Singh Tomar but Mahie Gill says she never wanted to become an actress.
The 38-year-old said the audience’s love pushes her everytime to sign a new project. “I never wanted to become an actress but I am thankful to God that whatever I am doing and have done in the past, people are appreciating my work. So, I just take the dare and come onscreen,” Gill said.
Last seen in paranormal comedy film Gang of Ghosts, Gill, who is currently filming Punjabi movie Carry on Jatta 2, wants to try different characters as an artist.
“I want to do something that excites me. If I don’t like a particular role or a script, I don’t do it. I need something interesting everytime,” she added.
Gill has shared screen space with Irrfan Khan, Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin, Jimmy Shergil and Priyanka Chopra among others.
