Model Diandra Soares is the latest contestant to be evicted on Sunday from the eighth season of celebrity reality show Bigg Boss.
The 35-year-old makeup artist, who was known for her proximity to co-contestant Gautam Gulati in the house, said she is upset with her eviction.
“There were a few days left and I wanted to be on the show for some more time. I had been in the house for such a long time and became familiar with the place. I am upset as I haven’t expected to be evicted,” Soares said after her elimination.
The bald model is the ninth contestant to be evicted from the show after staying in the house for more than two months.
“I couldn’t fake it. I never can. I can’t play games. And I couldn’t do so in Bigg Boss. Honestly. I think I can very proudly and confidently say I was the most unguarded person in the house,” she said, adding she regretted not making it to the finale.
“It’s a bit sad. But I truly believe whatever happens in life happens for the absolute best. The thing is, after last week’s episodes and my conversation with Salman Khan, I had decided to be absolutely outrageous and not take any of the nonsense going in the house quietly. Content-wise I’d have been great for the TRPs.”
Soares also says she was preparing to kick up a storm.
“For the next few weeks, there would have been amazing fireworks. If you say I kicked up a storm in there, then there was definitely going to be more of a storm. I had made up my mind not to be the quiet type anymore.”
“The Diandra you saw during my last few days in there was just a passing phase. Or maybe it was the calm before the storm,” she said.
Besides Soares, other contestants nominated for elimination this week were Praneet Bhatt, Sonali Raut, Ali Quli Mirza, Upen Patel, Gautam, Pritam Singh, Puneet Issar and Dimpy.
Actresses Sukirti Kandpal, Deepishikha Nagpal, Minissha Lamba, Nigaar Khan, Serbian model Natasa Stankovic, Mr Gay India Sushant Divgikar, Arya Babbar and Roadies star Renee Dhyani have been previously evicted from the show.
Bigg Boss 8 hosted by Bollywood star Salman Khan airs everyday on Colors.
