Actor Darshan Kumar says there is nothing controversial about his upcoming film, Sarbjit.

The film is about Indian convict Sarabjit Singh, who was beaten to death in a Pakistani jail in 2013.

The film, directed by Omung Kumar, features Aishwarya Rai Bachchan playing the role of Dalbir Kaur, while Randeep Hooda plays her brother, Singh, the protagonist.

Kumar plays the role of Khalid Pervaiz, a Pakistani lawyer who fights to secure justice for Singh.

When asked if he is expecting any controversy regarding the movie, Kumar said, “No. We just shot the jail portions, and then will go to Punjab. The film is very close to reality. There is nothing controversial.”

The young actor said the movie is shaping up well.

“It’s a tough film... We are focusing on every detail. I hope the audience will like it,” he said.
