Dubai: Bollywood stars are always quick to share their feelings on Twitter, and the sudden death of Farooque Shaikh on Friday while on holiday in Dubai elicited messages of stunned sadness from his acting colleagues. Asha Bhosle (with whom he conceived a concert that took place in Dubai on December 13) tweeted in the early afternoon: “Very sad day. We have lost a very good human being. My deepest condolences aren’t enough.” Here are some of the messages of condolence shared by Btown on Saturday morning.

Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk)

“And all I ask is quiet sleep & a sweet dream when the long trick’s over.“ Faroukh Sahib…Allah bless your soul. U are dearly loved & missed.

My biggest regret that I never got to spend time with you, Faroukh sahib, as I had requested. Should have done it earlier. I feel so sorry.
