A night of queens, crowns, and cheers: Binibining Pilipinas 2025 names its new royalty
Manila: Lights, camera, glitter! The Smart Araneta Coliseum sparkled on Sunday night, June 15, as Binibining Pilipinas 2025 crowned two fabulous new queens — Katrina Johnson of Davao and Annabelle McDonnell of Iligan City — in a dazzling coronation fit for royalty.
After wowing judges and fans alike, Johnson and McDonnell emerged victorious among 36 stunning hopefuls.
Katrina sashayed her way to the Binibining Pilipinas International title, while Annabelle snagged the Binibining Pilipinas Globe crown.
Both queens are taking home a sweet ₱1 million each ($17,828), plus the prestigious honour of representing the Philippines on the global stage.
Miss International contender
Katrina Johnson, with her queenly poise and Davaoeña grace, takes over the crown from Myrna Eguerra, last year’s titleholder, who’s still prepping to slay the 63rd Miss International pageant in Japan this November.
Katrina, meanwhile, will wave the Philippine flag next year at the 64th edition of the same international competition.
Miss Globe contender
Over in the Miss Globe lane, Annabelle McDonnell received her sparkling crown from Jasmin Bungay, who made waves with a third-place finish at The Miss Globe 2024 in Albania.
McDonnell’s turn to shine will come this October 15 (that’s Oct. 16 in Manila) — once again, in Albania.
Time to pack those gowns and heels.
Joining the reigning queens on the royal court are the equally radiant Dalia Varde Khattab of Las Piñas as first runner-up, and island beauty Kathleen Espenido from Siargao as second runner-up.
All four stunners made it through the final Top 14 and slayed the Q&A segment like true queens.
The 61st Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night wasn’t just a show — it was a spectacle.
Hosts
Hosting the glam-packed evening were beauty royalty themselves: Nicole Cordoves, MJ Lastimosa, Maureen Montagne, and Kylie Verzosa.
And to make the night even more electric: None other than SB19, the kings of P-pop, took the stage and had the crowd screaming with joy.
And if that wasn’t enough sparkle, joining the judging panel were reigning international queens Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy (Miss International 2023) from Vietnam and Diana Moreno (The Miss Globe 2024) from Colombia, alongside pageant legend and 1986 Bb. Pilipinas International Alice Dixson.
Binibining Pilipinas 2025 was a night of grace, glamour, and girl power — and the world better get ready. The Philippines is sending its finest.
