Akshay Kumar tells a story of India’s financial capital in his latest film, but he’s making sure he telling it to his fans right here in Dubai.

Kumar and his Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara co-stars Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan will be at the Meydan Imax at 6.30pm on August 11 to meet fans and promote the romantic gangster film, which releases in the UAE on August 15.

The gang will be joined by producer Ekta Kapoor, making her first promotional visit to the UAE, at a mall, details of which will be announced in the coming days.

“Akshay will even perform on the stage on his song Tu Hi Khawaish,” said Rashid Saeed, managing director of event organisers Essar Events. “He is excited to get a few dancers on stage from the crowd to dance with him.”

Once... is the sequel to the 2010 hit Once Upon A Time in Mumbai, and tells the tale of love and gangsters in the Mumbai underworld.

The chemistry bewtween Khan and Sinha is rumoured to be especially strong, with word that they will be paired up for another Kapoor film in future.

“We were amazed at the sparkling chemistry between Imran and Sonakshi,” said Kapoor recently. “They are at amazing ease with each other. They are the new romantic pair created and we would definitely like to repeat them in one of our future productions.”
