Dubai: Law firm Al Tamimi & Company is expanding its presence in the Middle East following the opening of its latest office in Bahrain.

The UAE-based firm announced the opening of its 14th office in the region on Sunday, which provides it with a permanent presence across all six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

“We are delighted to be opening a permanent presence in Bahrain and look forward to supporting even more businesses and individuals in a market that is growing and offering exciting investment opportunities,” stated Husam Hourani, Managing Partner at Al Tamimi.

Al Tamimi is looking to capture Bahraini market share as the country’s economy expands. Citing the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), Al Tamimi stated that Bahrain’s non-oil sector is set to grow by more than 4 per cent in 2014. However, overall gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 3.7 per cent.

The firm specialises in major international corporations and financial institutions, Middle East banks and financial institutions, government organisations, businesses and families in their global operations and investments.

Al Tamimi has offices in eight countries across the Middle East including in the six GCC states. It also has offices in Iraq and Jordan.
