UAE, Australia minister discuss boosting economic ties

Dubai: Sultan Al Mansouri, the UAE’s Minister of Economy, met with Steven Ciobo, Australia’s Minister for Trade, Tourism, and Investment to discuss strengthening economic ties between the two countries.

The two ministers discussed developments in the implementation of recommendations agreed on during the first session of their countries’ Joint Economic Committee held in Sydney in November 2017.

Bilateral non-oil trade between the UAE and Australia reached Dh10.4 billion at the end of 2016, the Ministry said, adding the figure is expected to grow upon the implementation of committee results.
