The Concept Big Brands Carnival, a consumer trade show that brings together luxury labels, is hosting a five-day discount bonanza and bargain hunters are assured that they can score markdowns of up to 75 per cent.

Taking place at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the sale is offering thousands of sale items from high-end brands, including Ted Baker, Calvin Klein, Guess, Hugo Boss, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Aigner, Nina Ricci, Diesel, The Kooples, and Patek Louis, among many others.

With many consumers now looking for ways to spend less, sales are a big hit in the UAE. Previous shopping extravaganzas have attracted thousands of bargain hunters and stimulated consumer spending at the same time.

According to a survey, more than half (53 per cent) of people in UAE are looking for ways to save money and the same number are on the lookout for sales and promotions. About four in ten people (41 per cent) said, they would delay purchases and wait for products to go on sale.

The carnival serves as a platform for retailers of designer labels to promote brand awareness and clear out old inventory.

The sale at Za’abeel Hall 2 runs until July 8, Sunday, from 10am to 10pm. Entry is free.
