Dubai: Do you need to refill your petrol tank but don't have cash or card? Don't fret, there's also a new app for that.

A new digital tool was rolled out on Tuesday and it now allows UAE motorists to pay for petrol from the comfort of their vehicle.

Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc Group), the state-owned oil refiner in Dubai, said that its new "cashless and cardless" payment platform, called “EnocPay,” enables drivers to make electronic payments for fuel, as well as store items, at Enoc and Eppco service stations.

With the new payment solution, users can remotely pay using their mobile phone by entering the site and pump number details.

The app is available for download on Apple Store or Google Play. Drivers can start using it after registering for a new account. They can also log in using their Facebook, Twitter or Google accounts.

“EnocPay enhances the customer experience by enabling them to pay with their mobile phones, without having to leave the comfort of their vehicle. It allows users to link their Vehicle Identification Pass (VIP) RFID account to enable top-up, pay for fuel as well pay in-store at ZOOM and Pronto,” Enoc said in a statement.
