Project vs. Project
Where: 8 Boulevard Walk is located in Downtown Burj Dubai, just off Shaikh Zayed Road.
What: Situated just off the unfinished 3.5km Burj Dubai Boulevard, this project sits atop a five-storey podium. It offers a central location at reasonable prices.
Accommodation: The building has 347 units which comprise studio, one- and two- bedroom flats with sizes ranging from 465 ft² to 1,408ft².
Facilities: The lower floors of the building house two swimming pools, a gym and fitness centre, gaming arenas and a play area for children. Residents will also be able to enjoy the boulevard which, upon completion, will feature a tree-lined walkway surrounded by parks and water features.
Security: The building has round-the-clock security. There are also closed circuit TVs placed at the entrance of every apartment.
Access: It's just off Shaikh Zayed Road,so access is easy, if a bit dusty. When the area is complete, more access roads will open to connect the building directly to Old Town and to the exit road via Dubai Mall that leads to Doha Road.
Taxis: As the building currently stands alone amid construction work, taxis are hard to flag down. But because of the various hotels and shopping areas close by, cabs come quickly when booked by the phone.
Shops: The bottom floor features a number of retail outlets that are yet to be opened. Residents have access to the shops in the nearby Souk Al Bahar and Dubai Mall.
Eating: When completed, the boulevard will feature many restaurants and cafes, none of which have yet been announced. The nearby Burj Residence houses Nando's and Hey Pesto Italian restaurant.
Entertainment: The in-house gym and gaming arena offer entertainment for residents. There will soon be a cinema in Dubai Mall.
