Mohammad honoured for planning role
Dubai: The Gulf Wealth Forum 2006 has honoured His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as the Gulf strategic personality for his efforts in strategic planning.
Prince Bandar Bin Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, honorary chairman of Etlala International, the organiser of the forum, said Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry, was also honoured by the forum as the Gulf personality in the field of supporting businesses.
The forum also honoured Abdul Rahman Al Attiya, Secretary General of the GCC, as the Gulf personality for his efforts to promote economic integration among GCC countries.
Atif Al Tayyeb, Executive Chairman of Etlala, said the forum, held earlier this month under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan, submitted a number of significant recommendations to the General Secretariat of the GCC.
Among these recommendations was the setting up of the Union of Gulf Banks.
