UAE financial markets to remain shut on Thursday

Trade will resume on Sunday

Abu Dhabi: The Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) has officially announced that the UAE’s financial markets will close on Thursday May 5 to mark the anniversary of Isra’a Wal Miraj, and will resume work on Sunday, May 8.

The Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange (DGCX) will decide whether or not to close on Thursday according to business requirements and the public interest, the authority said.
