Dubai-based company wins BassDrill drilling unit contract

Dubai: Lamprell Plc, a Dubai-based oilfield services company, won a $204.5 million contract to supply BassDrill Ltd. with two drilling units.

The first unit, complete with living accommodation, will be delivered in 2009, the company said on Tuesday in a statement via the Regulatory News Service.

Delivery of a second unit is conditional on BassDrill raising the finance to fund the construction, Lamprell said.
