International auditors visit UAE civil aviation body

Will prepare a final report that will be handed to the European Commission

Last updated:

Dubai: Auditors from the European Aviation Safety Agency (Easa) recently visited the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).

Easa auditors were assessing and monitoring the ability of the GCAA on its safety oversight responsibilities over foreign airlines.

The visit follows an arrangement between the GCAA and Easa, which witness the UAE’s accession to the European Commission’s safety programme.

Auditors will prepare a final report that will be handed to the European Commission, in order to officially declare UAE participation in the European Commission.
