Dunai: Emirates has issued a statement confirming that a video circulating on social media, depicting an Emirates plane crash, is fabricated and untrue.

“We are in contact with various social media platforms to have the video removed or clearly marked as digitally created footage to prevent false and alarming information from spreading,” the airline stated on its social media channels.

The airline is actively working with social media platforms to address the issue and ensure the video is removed or appropriately labeled as digitally altered.

“Safety is central to Emirates' brand and operations, and we treat such matters with the utmost seriousness. We urge the public to always check and refer to official sources,” Emirates added.

The airline stresses its commitment to safety and encourages the public to rely on official sources for accurate information.
