George Patton is considered one of the most successful combat generals in US history. He was the first officer assigned to the Tank Corps in WWI and during WWII, he helped lead the Allies to victory in the invasion of Sicily, and was instrumental to the liberation of Germany from the Nazis. Now, 75 years since his death, his Dodge WC-57 Command Car has popped up for sale.

Produced for the US army between 1942 and 1945, it the predecessor of the post-war civilian Dodge Power Wagon. This one was modified for General Patton to use during World War II.

Perhaps the most interesting addition was a .30 cal machine gun - with his favourite ivory handle - to return fire against enemy troops. It also has a rail behind the front seats so that he could hold on to it while standing to address his men.
