It boasts more than 70 artists from diverse backgrounds
Coke Studio’s season 11 is proving to be a hugely publicised affair.
First, we had the ambitious, five-episode Explorer that took viewers on a journey to unearth musical talent across Pakistan; and later, the season’s theme song Hum Dekhenge was released, which raised the curtain on the participating singers. Eventually, the season’s opening episode was screened at a special event in Lahore that saw producers Zohaib Kazi and Ali Hamza attend, besides artists that included Abrar-ul-Haq, Aima Baig, Ali Azmat, Asim Azhar, Attaullah Esakhelvi, Hassan Jahangir, Humaira Arshad, Sahir Ali Bagga and Momina Mustehsan.
The said episode features Shikwa/Jawab-e-Shikwa — Allama Iqbal’s timeless poems, rendered with soul by Fareed Ayaz, Abu Mohammad and Brothers alongside Natasha Baig; Baalkada by Jimmy Khan, Naghma and Lucky; Rap Hai Saara, which features Lyari Underground and Young Desi; and Main Irada by Haniya Aslam, Rachel Viccaji, Shamu Bai, Ariana and Amrina.
