University student stabbed in brawl in Oman

Muscat: A student at Sultan Qaboos University was stabbed by another student on Sunday afternoon on the university campus.

The victim was stabbed in the neck during the fight, according to the Omani police.

Both students are currently hospitalised at the Sultan Qaboos University hospital.

The two students are in stable condition, according to hospital sources.

The reasons behind the brawl were not revealed by police as investigations are underway.

The accused could face three years in jail as well as expulsion from the university.

The two students are both in their fourth year at the Agriculture and Marine Science school.
