Truck overturns on Sharjah's Airport Road

Sharjah: A heavy goods vehicle overturned on Sharjah's Airport Road, causing heavy traffic jams.

Sharjah Police urged motorists to use alternative routes after the accident, which was caused by wet weather.

The vehicle was still blocking the road on Thursday afternoon, causing traffic jams on Airport Road, said Major Dhaib Bu Hinid, acting director of media and public relations at Sharjah Police.

Maj. Bu Hindi said police sent a crane to move the vehicle and reopen the road to traffic. He urged motorists to use Al Dhaid Road or Bypass Road
