Sultan orders release of 96 prisoners

Sharjah: His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered the release of 96 prisoners of different nationalities from the Sharjah Penal and Correctional Institution.

The pardon covers those who have served half of their jail terms, were found eligible for the pardon and had shown good conduct and behaviour while serving their sentence.

Dr Shaikh Sultan’s gesture aims to enable the prisoners to join their families and relatives for Eid Al Adha celebrations.
