Sharjah: Police are searching for a thief who worked at jewellery outlet in Sharjah Industrial area No.1 and stole gold worth Dh2 million before fleeing the country, a police official told Gulf News on Friday.
Police said the suspect is an employee who worked at the shop and that he planned the theft.
The gold was stolen early on Friday. The suspect fled the country after the theft.
Investigators from the Police’s Criminal Investigation Department visited the crime scene and are investigating the incident.
The police have issued an arrest warrant and informed Interpol.
