Abu Dhabi: Shaikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in the Western Region, Chairman of Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), has ordered the allocation of Dh20 million from the amount collected through the UAE Compassion campaign (Tarahamu), to provide the winter relief aid needs to those affected by severe winter in Kurdistan region of Iraq.

The ERC delegation headed by Dr. Mohammad Ateeq Al Falahi, Secretary General of the ERC, will head on Tuesday to Erbil to implement the directives of Shaikh Hamdan to provide the relief aid, especially to those at the mountainous areas at the Turkish-Iranian borders, which are hard hit by the snowstorm.

Dr. Al Falahi said Shaikh Hamdan's directives come within the wise leadership's interest to assist those affected by severe weather.
