Abu Dhabi: Lt Gen Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on Wednesday honoured a number of entities and individuals who supported and donated to the Ministry of Interior’s Al Faraj Fund.

The honourees spent three consecutive years doing charitable work for the fund and were recognised for their humanitarian aid and assistance for inmates of the Punitive and Correctional Establishments and their families.

Shaikh Saif expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the honorees for their support and donations to the fund, and for bringing joy to the hearts of the inmates and their families. He hailed all those who have supported the Al Faraj Fund for their efforts that reflected social cooperation and cohesion in the UAE.

The ceremony was attended by Maj Gen Nasser Lekhraibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minster of Interior and Chairman of the Al Faraj Fund, Brig Ali Khalfan Al Daheri, Director General of Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police, Colonel Abdul Hakim Al Suwaidi, Treasurer of the Al Faraj Fund, Colonel Ahmad Saeed Al Badi, Director General of the Al Faraj Fund, and Rashid Lakhraibani Al Nuaimi, Secretariat General of the Federal Demographic Council.
