Ajman: A team from Ajman Civil Defence came to the rescue of a 14-year-old teenaged boy who was in pain after a ring got stuck on his finger. It restricted the flow of blood, causing the finger to swell. The ring was cut by paramedics and Civil Defence teams to relieve the boy of his pain and misery.
Brigadier Abdul Aziz Ali Al Shamsi, Director-General of Ajman Civil Defence. said that on Sunday at 5:24pm, Ajman operation room received an information of a boy suffering from a swollen finger with the possibility of further complications due to a ring getting stuck on his finger, restricting the flow of blood.
On the spot, paramedics and Civil Defence teams moved to the site equipped with the latest equipment tailored to deal with such cases. The teams professionally dealt with the incident and managed to get the ring out of the boy’s finger by cutting it off after one minute of embarking on the task, Al Shamsi added.
Praising the readiness of Civil Defence teams to meet every call for help, Al Shamsi said that Ajman Civil Defence pays great attention to humanitarian cases and that such case stresses the UAE’s residents and citizens’ trust in the services offered by the Civil Defence.
